Students transferring from other institutions must meet the same admissions requirements as all other students. Students who
have attended other postsecondary institutions prior to applying to Vennard must submit transcripts of any college
work attempted (even if not transferred credits). ACT or SAT scores will be required. A High School transcript is
not required for students who have successfully completed 24 hours of work in courses comparable to those offered
by Vennard College.
Transfer credit from accredited institutions requires an official transcript to be submitted to the Admissions Office
from each institution attended. To be accepted, credits (1) must fulfill requirements of the program(s) the student is
entering at Vennard, and (2) must have been completed with a grade of “C-“ or above. Transfer credit evaluations
are made by the Registrar.
The transfer of course work from an unaccredited institution depends on the Registrar’s evaluation and approval of
the syllabus, grading system, and faculty credentials for each course, and the credits must fulfill the same
requirements as those from accredited institutions.
Vennard College is on the semester system, so all
transfer credits will be converted to semester hours.
Grade Points do not transfer into the Vennard
GPA. Developmental and remedial courses are.
generally not eligible for transfer.
The following guidelines will be followed in the
awarding of transfer credit:
1. Transfer students must earn at least 30
semester hours of credit from Vennard College
before the college will award either an AA or
BA degree.
2. Students pursuing a BA degree must complete
a minimum of thee 300/400 level courses in
Bible and Theology, three 300/400 level
courses in their professional major, and the
Senior Seminar course at Vennard. |
