Vennard
College welcomes international students.
To
qualify for admission as an international
student, the applicant must:
- Submit the completed International Application
Packet to Vennard College. Generally, applications
need to be received by June 1 to be
considered for the succeeding fall semester.
- Complete the TOEFL examination
at a convenient place in the applicant's home country,
and have the score sent to the Academic Office. Students
must score at least 500 (paper-based;
173 computer-based) to be admitted.
- Secure an approved liaison person
as stated on the Application for International Student
Admission form and include all information requested.
- Request that a transcript of the
high school (or equivalent) academic records
and college or university academic records (if applicable)
be sent to the Office of Admissions.
- Contact the United States Embassy
in your country immediately to find out what documents
are needed to complete your VISA
requirements.
- All application materials must be
received before acceptance may be granted. The Admissions
Department will notify the applicant of the decision
regarding acceptance.
- The International Student Financial Statement
and the Statement of Applicant and
Sponsor must be completed, signed and sent
to the Admissions Office together with the funds and/or
information identified therein.
- Upon receipt of the International Student Financial
Statement, the Statement of Applicant and Sponsor, and
accompanying funds as required, the College through
the Office of the Academic Dean, will send an
I-20 form to be used in securing the necessary
legal documents for entrance into the U.S. as a student
at Vennard. Without proof of ability to pay, Vennard
College will not issue an I-20 .
- The International Student must then make all necessary
arrangements for travel to the College,
informing the Admissions Director of planned arrival
time at the College. (Des Moines, Iowa is the nearest
major airport. Providing the arrival time in Des Moines
is known, the College can provide the initial transportation
from Des Moines to the campus.)
NOTE: U.S. Immigration regulates
international
student work.
