Bachelor of Arts Degree

Programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree require a core of courses in general education, as well as major concentrations of study in Bible and Theology, and in a major field of study.

Some programs provide the academic preparation necessary to enter careers in ministry and church-related professions. Other programs may require additional study in graduate programs.

Four-year programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree require a minimum of 128 semester credit hours. Cooperative programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree may require additional hours to meet graduation requirements.

Majors are offered in the following areas:

  • Bible/Theology

  • Business Management

  • Christian Ministries
           Concentrations:
    • Blended Ministry
    • Pastoral Ministry
    • World Evangelization
    • Worship Leadership
    • Youth Ministry

  • Psychology and Human Relations
  • Multidisciplinary Studies

The Bachelor of Arts degree includes the following minimum core requirements:

  • Bible/Theology 35 Semester Hours
  • General Education 40 Semester Hours
  • Major Area 30 Semester Hours
 

Associate of Arts Degree

Programs which lead to the Associate of Arts degree require a minimum of 64 semester credit hours distributed through Biblical/Theological Studies, General Education, and Professional Studies.

Professional concentrations are offered in the following areas:

  •  Applied Media Arts and Technology
  •  General Studies
  •  Teacher Education
  •  Christian Music Ministry

The Associate of Arts degree includes the following minimum core requirements:

  •  Bible/Theology 13 Hours
  •  General Education 18 Hours
  •  Professional Education 6 Hours
 
Certificate Program

Vennard College offers a 30 hour certificate program which is designed to give students flexibility in selecting both general and professional courses to meet their needs. The Christian Foundations Certificate program is designed to provide a basic introduction to Scripture and the Christian life.

The certificate program may be recommended for adult learners with previous post secondary school training or students currently undecided in their academic pursuit.

The courses taken toward a certificate have the same expectations of academic rigor as those taken toward the completion of a degree program.
